happy v Posted March 8, 2013 #26 Share Posted March 8, 2013 Cabin Review Format Cabin Number:218 Cruise Ship:Spirit Date of Cruise:2009 Bed Formation: double Bath/Shower?: bath and shower Adjoining Cabin?: no Balcony?: no Comment on the Size of the Cabin: very good Comment on any Noise Issues: It's close to the doors on prom.deck and wasn't noisy enough to bother us at all but some people might have a problem with it. Also we had a storm one night and you could hear the chairs moving on the deck. Comment on Storage Space: plenty Comment on the Bathroom: spacious, clean but showing it's age. Any Other Comments?: This cabin is wider than normal so the dressing table is next to the bed which gives space at the bottom of the bed for the table and chairs. The bathroom is at the side of the room. Would You Recommend this Cabin?: Yes we liked it. Link to any Images:n/a Score out of 10

Sailaway487 Posted March 9, 2013 Author #31 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Many thanks to all who have uploaded their review! Just updated it now. Dave, you know when you say '2 singles', is there then twin beds? I always presumed that there was just one bed in a single cabin. Is there two? pazor, do you know what cabin number you were in at all? I always presumed that there was just one bed in a single cabin. Is there two? pazor, do you know what cabin number you were in at all? Both cabins had two single beds. Some single cabins do have a 3/4 size bed but most remain with their original beds including bunks etc. Clarification - what do you mean by adjacent cabin? do you mean connecting doors? So even though they are known as single cabins, they have 2 beds? Odd? I do mean connecting cabins, yes. I'm guessing you just meant there was a cabin either side? I will change that then tomorrow. :)

davecttr Posted March 10, 2013 #36 Share Posted March 10, 2013 So even though they are known as single cabins, they have 2 beds? Odd? I do mean connecting cabins, yes. I'm guessing you just meant there was a cabin either side? I will change that then tomorrow. :) Just re-categorised form previous owners multiple occupancy cabins or in the case of Celebration/Spirit former crew cabins. This 'ghettoisation' is what i don't like about Thomson single cabin locations. Majesty is OK with the inside singles midships or forward and the outsides on high decks at the stern. Dream insides may be OK as they are right forward but the outsides are at the stern so might be noisy. Celebration/Spirit are a disaster area, right astern on low decks near the engines and propellors.

CRUISIN LINDA Posted March 11, 2013 #41 Share Posted March 11, 2013 Hi Sailaway, Just read Alli234's review and realized it was next to ours (Majesty -246) and that we also had two bunk beds.
