Dharma517 Posted March 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2013 I will be on the 24May2013 sailing on Grandeur. I see the package for Chefs table dining: Available restaurants and pricing varies by ship: On Grandeur of the Seas® Enjoy dinner at Chef’s Table PLUS three more restaurants: Chops Grille steakhouse, Giovanni’s Table Italian restaurant, and Izumi Asian cuisine for just $130 per person. Does this mean that you get the Chefs table WITH the wine flight included AND you get three more nights of speciality dining at all of those restaurants for $130pp? Or do you get to pick from one of those 3? Seems like a terrific deal!
truffles2 Posted March 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2013 All mentioned restaurants are included. When we did an 18 day Radiance cruise, they had a package with 5 restaurants...so it is a bargain--especially if you were planning to use one or two anyway.,
AussieVisi2r Posted March 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2013 It's a great deal and four great nights out. R
webteach Posted March 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Question- I started booking the dining package for Grandeur 5/31 and it seems that you need to make your reservations for specific nights when you book. Is this correct?
Kinofdc Posted March 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2013 It's a good deal. However, there are some potential caveats: make sure the itinerary of your cruise isn't too port intensive or having too many late port days. Otherwise it could dilute the enjoyment of the meals at the specialty restaurants, especially the Chef's Table, if you need to juggle between port activities, coming back from late port days, dinner and evening entertainment. cathydev Posted July 4, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 4, 2013 WE have booked the Chef's Dining Package for our upcoming Alaska cruise and the Izumi Asian restaurant is part of the package. In looking at the menu almost all items have a price - it's ala carte. Would we still have to pay them if we purchased the package?

In looking at the menu almost all items have a price - it's ala carte. Would we still have to pay them if we purchased the package? I forgot the amount, but the package gives you some value of credit at Izumi. So you would have to pay extra if you exceeded the credit that came with the dining package. AussieVisi2r Posted July 5, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 5, 2013 The package gives you $20 credit each. We have never gone over the $20 each and have eaten heaps! Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
Nice2MeetU Posted July 5, 2013 #9 Share Posted July 5, 2013 I will be on the Grandeur Aug 16th. I have never done a "Chef's Table" and for $130 to include the other 3 restaurants sounds like a really good value. Question... is the Chef's Table worth it? Thanks
Rare Kteacher Posted July 5, 2013 #10 Share Posted July 5, 2013 We've only done Chef's Table once, on the Allure, and it was definitely worth it. It was not only a wonderful meal, but we had great conversations with the chef as well as the sommelier. We purchased the package again for the Grandeur.
