marykdan Posted March 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2013 I just got off the Indy this morning (sailing March 2-10), and we had the new menus on our sailing. The scuttle from our wait staff was that there were a bunch of corporate people from Miami on board to assist with the rollout. We ate in the dining room every night but one and found the food quality to be very good. There did not seem to be a learning curve as some on these boards had feared. Good to hear Indy finally has them. Looking forward to seeing what they add for the 14 night menus in July.
earn Posted March 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Thanks for letting us know. We are on Indy for her TA, so will be the guinea pigs for the 13 day menu. Can you please tell me what the nightly steak options are? I used to have the Aberdeen Angus a few nights on every cruise. Hoping there s a decent steak on the every day menu. kneadsdough2cruise Posted March 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Met a lovely couple from Guernsey and they were also looking for the Aberdeen Angus - our wonderful waiter Rowen pointed them to the Manhattan Steak. The couple ordered it every other night and with one exception, not rare enough and asked for another, they loved it. Hope you enjoy it too! marykdan Posted March 11, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted March 11, 2013 There was a strip steak on the everyday menu. It seem to me that there are also some steaks on the "pay extra" menu, but I never really paid very close attention to those items.
phabric Posted March 11, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 11, 2013 Have not been on a RCI ship for a while. We will be on the Indy this Saturday. What is the difference between the old and new menu?
rummenroman Posted March 11, 2013 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2013 Here is the menu for a 7 night cruise. I'm not sure how they differ on shorter sailings, but I would guess they will be very similar. https://www.dropbox.com/s/idx7jb0iajr6clu/New%20RCI%20Menus.pdf They do have a strip steak on the "everyday" menu, as well as Chops steaks and a surf and turf.
