Upgrade - good decision?????

I just upgraded from a 1A porthole cabin to a cove balcony on the Magic for $355 total. Was that a good deal? Now that I have done it I'm wondering if it was worth it? It's just my son & I in the cabin....

I would have done the same thing for that price. You're going to love your cover balcony!

Only you can decide if it's worth it to you financially. I would love to try a cove balcony. And I would never want to be in an inside cabin. Some people love them. Some just want the least expensive cabin they can get. But for me, I don't like not having any natural light. I would at least want an ocean view, but prefer having a balcony.

Essentially you went from ov to balcony and to me that is more than I would pay to do that.

 

However your money and in the end only you can decide if it was worthwhile.

Its more than I would spend but do as you wish.

 

For example we have a PT cabin for our next cruise in Sept. According to website cost to go to balcony would be about $ 700.

 

That covers half the cost of the next cruise we would book so we will stay put.

In lieu of the sales yes I think that is a lot for an upgrade.

I think you made a wise decision. Having a private balcony is always worth it to us.
