willwheels Posted March 28, 2013 #410 Share Posted March 28, 2013 I don't recall seeing other contests, not sure if they had any. On the NYE cruise sea day, there was a belly-flop contest and at least one other (bowling of some sort?) and also the Walk for Wishes. pspercy Posted March 28, 2013 #413 Share Posted March 28, 2013 Come, take a cruise from Singapore. And stay in Singapore for a while too! I'd love to, I worked out of Singapore in 1972 and it'd be great to see it again with all the changes. The airfare however, is a deal breaker :(
pspercy Posted March 28, 2013 #414 Share Posted March 28, 2013 Interesting to see the Singapore Noodles on the menu. They tried that out on us on the Mariner TA in Oct/Nov 2011. They were concerned it was too spicy, I told them it wasn't spicy enough ! Still, it made a nice change from the usual offerings.

BTW: thank you very much for your exellent review and the pics! It's great to see all the new places. Marco It is only temporary. Will have them back when they cruise out of USA. They may have them in the Med. They say it is because it is an "Asian" cruise....

Happy that my country's food is now a feature on some Royal Caribbean ships. The standard of the Singapore noodles on Legend was not bad even by our local tastes. My Dad gave it a 'not bad' grade. Iluvcruising2 Posted March 29, 2013 Author #425 Share Posted March 29, 2013 (edited) Now, let me move to the third and final port day, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The nation of Brunei - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brunei They have just 400,000 people. But they are very rich, due to oil. We took a half day shore excursion. This was the view of the ship from the coach. Edited March 29, 2013 by Iluvcruising2
