corpkid Posted March 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Since we won't be buying the drinks package due to such an insane port schedule, these internet packages actually sound like a good deal! Thanks as I was also curious. Benita Posted March 24, 2013 #8 Share Posted March 24, 2013 The unlimited Internet package price has changed. It was like Jimand Stan wrote when I was on the Riviera in September, but on my cruise last month, there was only the cruise long package. It was $27.99 a day and had to be purchased by day 3 of our ten day cruise. This was in addition to a one time fee or $3.95 to set up the account. The other charges for various Internet packages was the same as In JimandStan's post.
corpkid Posted March 24, 2013 #9 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Quitter! Not quite says me who just got back from a wonderful dinner with friends and probably too many martinis! Love the fact we live downtown here and can walk... errr... skip... errr... stumble... OK - Let's just take a pedicab home! :p That said, too bad they don't offer a day by day drinks package as we'd use it for about 1/2 our cruise but alas, this is not to be. I have no interest in regular internet access but l will need to check for emergency email now that they have discontinued the cruisemail service. I will setup an new email address of my own for this purpose. Will it still take 5-10 minutes each time just to get logged in and connected to find out if I have mail? The speed was excellent almost all the time. I took the unlimited package - got a 20% discount as this was our 5th sailing and the $200 shipboard credit I received as part of the 5-9th cruise perk more than paid for it. I had excellent wifi coverage from my cabin on the provided laptop and my ipad. I wonder why they had a $21.99 special for the March 4th cruise and not for our February 22nd one and why the setup fee was waived on one and not the other. Oh well, I guess the internet gremlin got me.

joan24 Posted March 24, 2013 #18 Share Posted March 24, 2013 I got a hot stone massage on the Riviera. It was wonderful, but the price with tip was about $250. We sent one two line email and with signing on it cost $15. It really didn't bother me that much. I just didn't email much and didn't think that it was worth it to spend the money for daily use. The cruise was beyond wonderful, and I made up the charges with my casino wins. Still can't believe it, but I hit big on the .25 cent slot and got $1,500 with 2 quarters and over the cruise I won another $300. So who's complaining :) Joan

exlandlubber Posted March 29, 2013 #24 Share Posted March 29, 2013 Jim&Stan, Thank you for the information regarding the Spa. We're on the Riviera in Italy this July and I was wondering just how prohibitive the prices might be. Any chance of a price list somewhere? Thanks, Kim
