SD II fails CDC surprise inspection

It reads like the main violation was the use of the watermakers at anchor. I did not know that was prohibited. Usually SD is anchored in areas with at least some current in the water which would tend to take any discharges astern of the ship. It has always been a no-no to use reverse osmosis systems in harbors or other "dirty" water areas principally due to the damage to the membranes that occurs when "dirty" water is processed. I learn something new every day.:D

The ship's Captain should know and follow the rules. They are paid a lot of money to be in charge of the vessel and ensure things are run properly and that the brand is properly presented. This is easier on a small vessel like SeaDream than on a gigantic mega-ship, so the Captain should definitely be held accountable and questions should be asked of him.
