Carnival/Princess what side of ship

Hello fellow cruisers,

Our next cruise looks to possibly be an Alaskan one in August. We are considering the Golden Princess (aug 4th) or the Carnival Miracle (aug 6th). Can anyone please tell me which side of the ship would be best to book our cabin for viewing and docking.

Thank you to all that reply.

Docking is done by port requirements and ship's needs and can vary day to day and cruise to cruise. No way to predict "best" side.

The scenary is all around you, so the best side for viewing (to steal a great phrase from another poster) is topside.

IF you are going to Glacier Bay and ONLY want your viewing from you cabin and will not change, then the port side matches up with the commentary. Otherwise, it makes no difference, what ever side you pick, you miss the other. :)
