If someone back home had to get a message to us can they just call RC customer service?

The official way for a person back at home to contact someone on the ship is to follow these instructions:

Your friends and family can contact the ship by calling (888) 724-SHIP. Or from outside the U.S. they can call (732) 335-3285. The cost is $7.95 USD a minute and can be charged to their American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover® or Diners Club®. From outside the U.S. additional long distance charges will also apply.

 

I don't know whether Customer Service would be able to pass along a message.

In addition to the above, the caller needs to know your ship and cabin number. They will be able to leave a voice mail on your stateroom phone.

We have agreement with people that may need to contact us that we turn on our cellphone 2x per day and check for text messages. Incoming texts are free for major US phone carriers on the ships. If need be, we call them back using the cell at $2.95 per minute.

 

Just be 100% sure to turn off roaming data. And know that if you get an incoming call while the phone is on it will cost $2.95 per minute.

We take our laptop and purchase the internet package. couple times a day we sign on and check for emails or skype if needed.
