GroupCruiser Posted June 16, 2005 #26 Share Posted June 16, 2005 I've got to believe this was not a pre-planned dry dock. Otherwise they never would have had sailing dates set for then. Perhaps it's got something to do with the propulsion problems it had last February? Be grateful you're not on a Celebrity Millenium ship, it seems they're in and out of dry dock every 6 months or so to fix the bearings in their pods. Those cruises get cancelled at the last minute, at least you've got quite a few months to change your plans, as difficult as that is to do. Hope it works out for you guys. Deb&Bert Posted June 16, 2005 Author #27 Share Posted June 16, 2005 LOL We travel in a group of family and friends and that is how we decided what ship we are sailing on. We want to do Hawaii but the Spirt does not open also.. Matter of fact here are the ships that DON'T OPEN Spirit, Pride, Legend and the Mircle.. I called and ask Carnival again today to make sure this is right.. Their dividers are not made to open. We have 30 balcony's on the Destiny and that was really cool. It went it seemed forever outside. On the Conquest we had 20 and its cool to meet everyone on the balcony and drink coffee in the morning and catch up on visting with everyone.. We use the lido area alot less this way also.
