5 day cruise...4 soda cards...2 bar tabs...5 Atlantis with dolphin encounter excursions via CCL...1 cabana rental for HMC (split with another couple)...some souvies...couple games of bingo...couple photos...tips (mandatory amount and a little extra)...1 $2000 diamond ring for a total of about $3800 on a 5 night cruise. That's not usual though. Typically we spend about $100-150 per day (that's for tips too).

$400...we don't buy photos, drink, or gamble. I do buy some souvenirs and my hubby always gets the soda pass. So tips and a few small purchases are all the extra we spend.

Our next cruise is for our 10th anniversary and we are headed to Alaska so I'm pretty sure we will spend much more than usual.

What's the most you have ever spent while on a cruise, excluding what you paid for the cruise itself (excursions, booze, shopping, food, etc)?

A taxi, 3 bingo cards, two boat photos, and a purse made out of chewing gum wrappers, < $75. We are kinda tight. I do aspire to buy a Tag or an Omega some day from Little Switzerland.

It's too late to bring out the pen & paper. If we include new clothes, carry on wine & mixers,BV booze, gas, tolls, parking, extra tips,me drinking while the wife shops in port & the S&S for four of us I don't want to add it up. Last cruise close to 4k. Plus the kennal & vet for the sons dog. OMG.I paid for that too.

Depends on the cruise. But between $200-1000. That includes tips, parking, animals sitters, excursions, some drinks and a few extras. We are not big spenders.

We haven't done a Europe or Alaska cruise. So I'm sure our expenses would double if not triple. Already figure we would probably spend $10,000 on an Alaska cruise, including the cruise it's self. :-0

Last 8 day cruise, S&S total was about $4000... However, I won about $5200 throughout the week in the casino. Our printout of our S&S acct was crazy long! But that's because when u get free drinks in the casino, they put every single one of them on your acct. I am sure on paper I was an alcoholic and a gambling addict! The funny part is that I don't drink or gamble on land! I had a lucky streak for the first time ever!

Always spent less then what we budgeted for out vacation.

I have a monthly and yearly budget that I follow. If it isn't in the budget, I don't spend it. I want to retire with a nest egg that will allow me to enjoy the golden years.

Usually we're under $300. We pre-pay excursions and gratuities and aren't big drinkers. Most of it is a few drinks, bingo, souveniers and pictures. We won $1000 at bingo one cruise and DH bought a diving watch he wanted and we ended up leaving the cruise with $300 so that was the best one.

Our first cruise was a 4 day Bahamas just Dh and I - excursions, drinks, wine at dinner, tips, photos.....our bill was about $600-700 I believe.

Our second cruise was a 7 day with us plus our 2 kids - we prepaid the 5 days of excursions so our S & S card only had 2 soda packages, drinks, photos, some aloe and other medication, wine with dinner, tips, and a new wedding band for Dh - our total was about $1000 I think.

Our third cruise is coming up this summer for all 4 of us again with a 12 day European cruise - our excursions will already be paid for, the kids said we could forgo the soda packages (who knew they liked iced tea and lemonade so much!).....but I'm still expecting a bill of around $1000. Our embarkation day and 3 days at sea will be our big drinking days. We will still have wine at dinner and buying any good photos. If we walk off the ship owing less than $1000, I will be happy.

What is a big help to us is pre-paying for all the shore excursions. We did do the slot machines a bit on the second cruise, so the expense for that was put on the s&s card. I do plan on playing the slots again on this upcoming cruise, as well.

On my first "modern" cruise with my daughter, we did Carnival excursions only. That probably cost about $700 in all. Since then, at the most, I'll book one Carnival excursion per cruise, and I purchase a soda sticker.

No gift shop. No alcohol. No paid restaurants. No casino. No bingo. I'm another passenger that Carnival probably hates because I add very little to their bottom line. I did purchase FTTF for my next cruise.

Can't say much about the most we've spent, but I foind it amusing that on our first cruise with 2 kids the bill came under the door on that last night and it was $800.00 (which included shore excursions for 4 and a dress my wife bought in the ships store). Second cruise we left the kids at home and went our own way on shore excursions and the bill came under the door on that last night (just alcohol) and it was still $800.00.
