What time can we expect to disembark?

What time would should I plan on being off of the Carnival Ecstasy? We have no flight to catch as we are driving home.

If it were me, I'd stay on until the very end. Be the last one off the ship and really extend your vacation. Remember it's back to the real world once you leave the ship!!!:eek: C.G.

They will start debarking passengers about 30 minutes after getting back to the pier. Usually VIP self assist guests are told to meet in a designated area at 7:15, then general self assist is called by deck starting from the bottom to the top, then zone numbers are called.

 

They will want you out of your cabin in a waiting area by 8am.

 

That's the general order, but many things can and do go wrong. I debarked from the Conquest last Sunday and it was horrible. We had stopped to rescue some Cuban refugees on Friday and it made us late back to NOLA...we didn't get in until after 8am and the ship wasn't allowed to start debarking until 9:15........in a driving rain........it was horrible

They want everyone out of the cabins by 8am, so finding someplace to sit on the Promenade or Lido can be uncomfortable.

 

Typically, the last guests are off the ship by around 10am. The only bad part of waiting until the very last is that 1000+ people are in front of you trying to get through customs....it never fails that people don't have the right documentation and the whole process can get really slow.

 

How long of a drive home do you have? We generally stay a night along the way if our drive is over 9 hours...debarkation can be exhausting.

Maybe you should consider extending your vacation by one day and stop to spend the night along the way ....

We are stopping for the night along the way. We will drive until 9 or 10pm the night we disembark and then finish the journey the next day. We are debating whether or not we should stop for lunch with family members on the way out of Florida. I am also trying to decide where we should book a room for that night.

We usually have a high zone number so we just go to the promenade deck, sit down have a cup or two of coffee. Most times we run into people we had dinner with, and talk. We always wait until the crowd dies down and leave, around 930am. We do not schedule any flights early and most of our cruises we drive to.

You will need to be out of your cabin by 8:00 AM and off the ship no later than 10:00 AM. The cabin attendant and others who have been so nice and accommodating all through the cruise just want you out of your cabin and off the ship so they can get ready for the next group of passengers. You can definitely feel that on debarkation morning.
