Island Princess Deck Plan Change in May?

I'm new to Princess and was just checking out the Island itineraries in Alaska. Deck plans are different for before mid-May and after mid-May. What is happening in May that changes the deck plans? I didn't see a gap in schedule for dry-dock. Would you recommend avoiding cruises for several weeks after the change, in case construction is still taking place?

Princess is simply re-classifying the categories in May for all ships.

No changes are being made to the ship. Princess is changing the cabin categories. The intent is to better match the categories to passenger preferences. Hopefully there will be fewer complaints from people getting upgrades that they feel are "down grades"
