ZackieDawg and The Journeyman- I love all your pics, but especially the Carnival ship in the port of San Juan. Mine are not near as good.

I always loved sailing away at night from there

Here's a few of mine taken from the Caribbean Princess in San Juan last year:

Sorry that my last post was off topic (not a night photo). Let's try this one, I took it in London in October 2008. I stood there like an uneducated tourist snapping this over and over trying to get an unblurred image in the dark/fog. Out of over 125 shots this was the ONLY one worth keeping. I'm thankful for my LW who stood there so patiently waiting.

While it is visually passable at this size - a look at the full-sized image reminds me why I should always bring a monopod or tripod setup each time I go out shooting.

Beautiful.

What were the fireworks for?

Can you tell me what lens you were using? Awesome pictures

Very nice series. Are they HDR?

Thanks guys. Not sure about the fireworks but I saw it every night when we were there. Too bad my camera ran out of battery and I only got a few with fireworks over the opera house. I used Nikon 14-24 lens. No, I shot in Raw and 10s adjustment in Lightroom.
