Salty Dawg Posted May 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2013 Hello Mr. Calouri, Thak you for answering questions for Cruise Critic members. As smokers, we are interested in where the "Designated Smoking Areas" will be located. We are thinking of taking one of the 10 day Caribbean cruises on the Royal, but want to pick a cabin near a smoking area. Thank you.
billco Posted May 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2013 I am also concerned about smoke drifting up from the Casino to the Promenade Deck. Will the ventilation system handle that?
Working 2 Cruise Posted May 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 23, 2013 As a smoker, I would also be interested in knowing where the smoking areas will be. I cannot wait to sail on the Royal Princess, preferably a 20-day Caribbean or a Transatlantic. Thank you for your response.
Rai Caluori Posted May 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 23, 2013 Hi Ken and Nancy - Besides open deck areas, the inside designated smoking venues are Churchill’s on deck 6 portside, as well as part of the Casino on deck 6 starboard side.
TorontoTL Posted May 23, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2013 Do you believe that you will be able to manage to keep the smoke from rising to the deck above given that the casino is very open to the deck above with the staircase opening?

chrispb Posted May 23, 2013 #7 Share Posted May 23, 2013 Are there indoor smoking areas on all your ships? There were none on Golden Princess and that is the reason we won't be sailing with Princess again. If this has changed, then I'll be pleased to hear about it. You did not mention Club 6. Will the entire night club be non smoking?
Salty Dawg Posted May 23, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted May 23, 2013 Hello again Mr. Caluori, Thank you for your quick response to our question on designated smoking areas. Could you please elaborate on which open deck areas will be designated as smoking so we can pick a cabin with easy access to them and not have to walk a considerable distance to get there. Ie.. Lido deck aft near Outriggers Bar> (example) Thank you again.
