Western Med Cruise

I'm a newbie to CC ..... this is my first question: We're looking to take a Western Mediterranean Cruise in 2016 for our 25th Anniversary and am in the process of checking out different cruise lines but would like to know what is the best time of the year to do this type of cruise - spring, summer or fall? Thanks:)

Spring (April/May) or Fall (September/October). Summer is extremely hot and there are wall to wall cruise ships in port every day. You have selected a wonderful destination for your 25th anniversary:)

I would agree with TC2, as well Spring and Fall will be less crowded. Have a wonderful cruise and anniversary.

Agree as well. Crowds will be less and temperatures more moderate.

We did Venice to Rome in mid-October of 2011. Cloudless skies and temps in the high 70's. The only time we had chilly temps was during our 4 day tour of Tuscany pre cruise. Enjoy!

I would try to go early October. Depending on where you are sailing late October can have rain and be cool.

 

I agree with the others. Spring and Fall are always a great time to sail the Med.
