Cruise_lover11 Posted June 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Has anyone stayed in a balcony room on the Riviera deck on Ventura? Is it ok? Is it noisey? We have been allocated our cabin on this deck midship. We've only been on A deck on Azura previously. We're taking ear plugs just in case!! macwen Posted June 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Stayed in midship suite at Xmas you get very little sun because of the large overhang above .you get some noise from the deck party night ,also scraping of sun beds early morning when the crew set them out but none of it spoiled our holiday
daiB Posted June 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Been in one of the suites on this deck, can't say there was much noise from above. Never heard any noise from any deck party in the cabin. Possibly we would have been at errr, the deck party:D Gan Canny Dai

PrincessPete Posted June 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 5, 2013 Hi, we have sailed in a midship suite on Azura, same as Ventura as I appreciate you will know. It was VERY noisy on the balcony with never ending noise from people moving above. However, we did not hear much noise in the cabin itself. Being aware of this in advance I had booked a suite directly under the Pizza serving area knowing there were no sunbeds immediately above our cabin - just hordes of people walking all the time! We became pretty much immune to it after a while but it did take the edge off a quiet nap in the afternoon! It certainly did not spoil our holiday but I would avoid those suites in the future - our next cruise is on the Diamond Princess which does not have the extra deck like Azura and Ventura and the category of suite that we stayed in are a few decks lower and with other cabin decks above and below rather than public areas. You will have a great time regardless! Kind regards. Peter and Beverley
goody1 Posted June 5, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 5, 2013 Hi, my wife and I stayed in a balcony cabin mid ships on Riviera Deck in April. We did not hear any noise when out on the balcony, and the only noise from above was tables being moved. It certainly did not spoil our holiday, I don't even think you will need the earplugs. Cristaltips Posted June 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 5, 2013 Hi We had balcony cabin R704 on our very first cruise. Right under the restaurant. Very quiet and very handy to nip up for an ice cream!!!! I'm sure you'll enjoy your cruise wherever you are.
