How were the lines/crowds? Did you try any specialty restaurants?

the only time it seemed crowded was before and after a show. If you want to see the comedy show, make sure you make reservations ASAP...it is put on in a very small venue and people in the "stand by" line never got in.

The Royal Prom got very crowded during parades but never seemed to be an issue.

we did not try any specialty restaurants.

Did you use a Starbucks card in Starbucks?

Did you take wine? and did you put it in your checked luggage?

Thanks!

I did not use a Starbucks card however, a couple in front of me tried to and were told that they could not.

we did not take wine on this trip but almost everyone else did :)

they prefer that you put it in your carry on, every cabin is aloud 2-750lt bottles

What did you do in Nassau?

Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

we did not book any excursions for Nassau, planned to just walk around Atlantis but they have changed "rules" and there is basically nothing to do over there without paying the day fee. We walked around right off of the pier for only a short time...the locals are very pushy so we just went back to the boat and enjoyed the empty pools :)

what catagory room did you stay in? would you recommend it?

Catagory D2

2 adjoining rooms on deck 6 forward (6550 & 6552)

loved the rooms and our room steward was awesome!!

after the few days into the trip, we sure wish we would have gotten rooms closer to the middle of the ship. This is a huge ship and found that most everything we wanted to do was in the aft :) lesson learned

How late does Sorrentos stay open? Can you get a pizza to take back to your room. We thought we might just do pizza and salad one night for dinner.

Yes, you can get a whole pizza made for you and take it back to your stateroom.

Did you make show reservations ahead of time, or wait to board, or just show up at the door? How were the crowds for the entertainment?

Thanks for offering to answer questions!

I highly recommend making reservations in advance...I know that the Comedy Show was full every night and alot of ppl turned away, did not notice any of the other showed being full.

only really noticed crowds for partys and parades in Royal Prom

The only ones that I know of are Schooner Bar on the Royal Prom and the second floor of Dazzles and one side of the Casino is smoking

Are you sure it was Schooner Bar that was smoking? On Allure it was Boleros that allowed smoking on the Promenade, and I thought Oasis was the same. Schooner Bar is on deck 6 overlooking the Promenade.

I am not sure what time they close but my 11 yo love running down and getting pizza to bring back to the room while winding down and watching tv....she went down as late as 1130 with no problems.

The pizza from room service was awful in our opinion, one day raw and the next day burnt so she just went to Sorrentos from then on :)

Thanks for the response! Given the short port time, I'm thinking of just staying on the ship. Your response helped a lot.

We were on the same cruise!!! LOVED it!!! I believe Sorrentos stayed open until 3 A.M. We did the Blue Lagoon beach break (I believe that was the exact name) in Nassau. It was very nice! I agree the only time the ship felt crowded was when shows let out. It was awesome and I SO wish that was where I was right now!!! Serious cruise withdrawal!!

You can use starbucks gift card, I was there everyday, I know there was going to be a change of hands after our cruise may 25 so maybe the person was misinformed.

Main dining room, we had 17 people with us, only 2 complains were shrimp cocktail wasnt too good, and one pork chop wasn't good, rest of the food we were happy with, the prime rib and beef something were tender as can be!

now we had free dinner in any speciality rest, so we chose, giovannas table

and all of our steaks no matter how you ordered it , were all bleeding, now the rest of my party will eat them but not me, by the time the waiter got back to us, everyone was almost done eating so I didnt say anything, but the

red velvet was to die for!

Seems to be mixed reviews on "Come Fly With me". We saw "Blue Planet" on Allure, is it similar? What music played during the show?

Does the Solarium Cafe turn into something else at night? Or is there even a Solarium Cafe on Oasis?

Solarium Cafe turns into Solarium Bistro at night on Oasis. It turns into Samba Grill at night on Allure.
