moran4carnival Posted June 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2013 What is the best deck to be on the Dream Class Ships? We like a balcony but with how the Promenade deck sticks out, not sure which deck would be best....We are looking to sail on the Breeze
StrangeBrew Posted June 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Had Lido Balcony on Dream , was defiantly nice , but looking down on the promenade was a bit un enjoyable , tried ocean view the next go round , while lower deck , was not a problem . We are going to try a Cove balcony in Sept , shade and when we look out , no deck below to look at :). You just want to avoid the deck above you having a venue or something directly above that is non stop activity , may become annoying , otherwise any cabin that has cabins above and below are the best . mum2bradley Posted June 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2013 We love the Lido. This will be our 4th cruise and we always stay on the Lido. Loved it on the Dream, looking forward to it on the Breeze we picked 10282 for both.
LaShea Posted June 13, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2013 We like the 8th floor. Cabins above and below and far enough away from the 5th floor promenade deck that when the people look up they can't see directly on your balcony.:D;)
JaniceB Posted June 13, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2013 A question a lot of us ask. We had a spa cabin, liked the location near the Lido, up high enough not to be bothered by hot tubs but this time we are trying a cove, I want to see the water. TNCruzer56 Posted June 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2013 The cove balconies are great (Did one on the Dream and the Breeze)...just not under the galley.
stargate fan Posted June 13, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 13, 2013 What is the best deck to be on the Dream Class Ships? We like a balcony but with how the Promenade deck sticks out, not sure which deck would be best....We are looking to sail on the Breeze We love being on the Lido Deck. We leave our cabin and are instantly at the pool or the buffet. It's a quick walk back to the cabin for forgotten items, a bathroom break, etc.
emelvee Posted June 13, 2013 #8 Share Posted June 13, 2013 The cove balconies are great (Did one on the Dream and the Breeze)...just not under the galley. Can't wait for our first Cove balcony on Dream next month. Ours isn't under the galley - I'm hoping we enjoy it as much as I expect to. We generally go with lower decks, but like having a balcony, so the Cove should be ideal.

katiel53 Posted June 13, 2013 #10 Share Posted June 13, 2013 We love the Veranda Deck and loved cabin 8347 on Dream enough to have sailed in that room 5 times. The other time we sailed on the Panorama Deck cabin 11237. I didn't like being so far from the mid ship elevators, but we did enjoy the use of the Spa. If we were to sail on a Dream class ship, I'd not hesitate to go back to 8347. It's between decks of cabins, no noise even though near the elevator and it's just convenient to everything. When we sit on our balcony we aren't distracted by the Promenade as we are up high enough to be able to see the ocean. We have to stand at the railing to see the Promenade. Love the Dream. LizaMM Posted June 14, 2013 #12 Share Posted June 14, 2013 I was very happy on Deck 7 on the Breeze..... I had wanted to book higher due to the view issue but their were no cabins available that met my needs (a cabin for 3 for that sailing)....however, I really enjoyed our location on Deck 7 and would happily book it again If you look at the deck plans you will see that the Lanai on deck 5 narrows quite a bit both to the aft and forward area. I booked my balcony cabin on Deck 7 just aft of the last aft elevator bank and I was not disappointed!
MamaE Posted June 14, 2013 #13 Share Posted June 14, 2013 We had a balcony room on Verandah, deck 8. Rooms above us, rooms below us, perfect for us!! We had 8304 and it was great! Nothing obstructing our view, and the nearest "thing" below us was a fun tub on deck 5 so virtually no noise from it.
nxtdoor Posted June 14, 2013 #14 Share Posted June 14, 2013 I'm glad to hear that deck 8 is good. We are leaving on the Dream next Saturday and have 2 rooms in the 8400's. Thanks
kybluecruiser Posted June 14, 2013 #15 Share Posted June 14, 2013 I've only been once on the dream. I usually do the fantasy class or pride but I enjoyed deck 2 for the cove balconies. Some complain about the noise above but I didn't have problems
bigdaddyvoges Posted June 14, 2013 #16 Share Posted June 14, 2013 OP, Having just been on Deck 6 mid-ship on the Magic, it would definitely benefit you to at least be on Deck 7. You'd have a floor buffer between you and the promenade deck. It is a bummer not to look down and see ocean, so this might actually be a deal breaker going forward. superdave69 Posted June 14, 2013 #17 Share Posted June 14, 2013 Main Deck..Cove Balcony..the best ever!!!
southbayer Posted June 18, 2013 #18 Share Posted June 18, 2013 It would be deck 6, Upper, midship, just over the casino. Mainley because deck 5 has everything, and its a short stair case walk down one deck. What is the best deck to be on the Dream Class Ships? We like a balcony but with how the Promenade deck sticks out, not sure which deck would be best....We are looking to sail on the Breeze
Tyme2Cruise Posted June 18, 2013 #19 Share Posted June 18, 2013 We have stayed on the Vista deck midship port side (not recommended), noise from lido deck above you. We were on the Panorama deck starboard side spa balcony cabin and loved it (highly recommended), if you use the cloud 9 spa. This was on the Dream not the Breeze. DebJ14 Posted June 18, 2013 #21 Share Posted June 18, 2013 We go for the spa balconies on Deck 11 or 12 (prefer deck 12) Very few people up there in the cabin hallways and NO SMOKING even on the balcony so you know you won't have a problem using your balcony. pickles1942 Posted June 18, 2013 #22 Share Posted June 18, 2013 We have had balconies on 6th and 8th but we really liked the cove being really close to the ocean and the shade. We are trying a inside room on the lido we are hoping to like being so close to food, drinks and all the action. lol It is my daughter and I so we don't spend a lot of time in the room but because I have breathing and leg issues it will be nice to go back to the room if you forget something. We have done a one other inside room and it was okay we just don't use the balcony much. Our inside room is on the Breeze 2014 can't wait.
