Buying Wine From Ships Duty Free

Does Holland America sell wine in their ship Duty Free shop for consumption in one's state room?

You can buy wine from the wine list and have it delivered to your cabin but not duty free.

Any alcohol from the duty free shop is held until the night before debarkation.

We never shop the Duty Free on the ship but I seriously doubt they sell wine.

You can pre-order wine for either your cabin or the dining room.

Or you can wait until you are on the ship and buy wine from a wine steward -- either in the dining room, a bar/lounge or from room service.

There are also packages that you can purchase -- Navigator or Admirals (and another one) -- 3, 5 or 7 bottles packages.

If you are 3 and 4 star Mariner and more, you should not buy your wine package before getting onboard because you will miss on the 25 or 50% discount. The discounts are NOT available unless you order once on the ship.

What is the discount on wine packages for Five Star Mariners? Is it the same as Four Star/50%? We don't buy the wine packages but am curious.

You can also buy local wine when in port and bring it back on the ship with you to enjoy in your stateroom or bring to the dining room (+ corkage fee)
