Venice to Barcelona on the Marina how many ports are arrived by tender?

We are taking our second trip on Oceania going on the Marina's Mediterranian Glorious Shores trip Venice to Barcelona October 29th 2013. On our previous Baltic cruise on the Regatta all the ports were so accessible with no tendering.

Does the Marina dock at most ports or should we expected to be tendered. It is so nice just to be able to return to the ship when finished touring. Many thanks for any help in this matter.

Maybe the OP means that sometimes you have to wait for a tender?

AHHH could be

We usually do not wait until late in the day so the tenders are usually empty returning to the ship

Keep in mind that based on weather and/or sea conditions tender ports could be skipped or could be changed. Last year on O we were scheduled to tender in Amalfi and due to sea conditions ended up in docking in Naples....

But if you have a private tour set up there most of the private guides seem to know just where the ship will be and will meet you there. Perhaps because they know that it is NOT a rare occurrence for the docking place to be different from what was anticipated.

We didn't need to do that ourselves (we tendered in from Sorrento) but others have said that the serious guides do know their business and you won't have to give them a last minute head's up. At least HERE. I am not suggesting that this is always the case.

You are correct, it's not an uncommon occurrence. Also the concierge on the O is happy to call the tour operator if you request...
