3 Foraml Nights on a 15 day cruise?

I noticed on our Hawaii cruise we will have only 3 formal nights on a 15 day cruise - wonder if this is because its hawaii bound or if this is a change? Anyone else on a longer cruise show fewer formal nites? Just curious.

3 are normal for a 15 night cruise. The number of formal nights is determined by the length of the cruise. The following is from Princess' web site:

thanks again ive havnt done Princess in a few years - we have done HAL last couple of times and I think they still do the 4 on a 14 day.

So if a 15 day cruise is a single segment (which the Hawaii cruise is), the answer is 3 formal nights.

 

However if you are on a fifteen day cruise that is a 7 day segment plus an 8 day segment, the rules for each segment apply, so that 15 day B2B cruise would have four formal evenings.

On our 14 day Hawaii cruise on the Golden Princess there was one formal night headed to Hawaii, and two on the way back to Ensenada. I would think the 15 day would do the same.

As others have said, a regular two week cruise has three formal days. We've been on three Hawaiian cruises that were 14 or 15 days, since 2005, so it's nothing new, and it's because of the length of the cruise and not the itinerary.

This is true! The B2B (7 & 8 days) for a total of 15 will have 4 formal nights!
