Captain cook hotel area in anchorage

we are going first time on LB7 princess cruise tour on september 2nd.

we are staying first night at captain cook hotel.

Anyone know if there is a liquor store near hotel and if there is a grocery store near hotel to buy drinks and snacks.

There is a liquor store across the street on 5th Ave. Downtown Wine & Spirits The closest full serve grocery store is New Sagaya City Market about 7 blocks south. An easy 15 minute walk.

The Captain Cook has several nice restaurants as part of the complex. Just a block away are both Simon and Seaforts and the Snow City Cafe. Both are highly regarded up here.

The Captain Cook is within easy walking distance to a number of restaurants, including Simon & Seaforts, Orso, Glacier Brewhouse and Humpys. Also, one of my favorite restaurants in Anchorage for a casual meal is located in the Captain Cook -- Fletchers.

The Cook also has a shuttle that goes to the airport and drives within one block of New Sagaya. Although it's $12 to the airport they may be able to drop you off on their way.

Our cruise tour in August 2014 starts with a hotel stay at the Captain Cook. I have reserved a room for the day before the cruise tour starts.
