AmbeeBee Posted August 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2013 I'm (possibly) cruising next month, and while I was on my cruise last year, my feet decided it would be awesome to swell. This was quite odd, as my feet do not swell at home (I am a preschool teacher and community actress and am on my feet most of the day). Does this happen to anyone else? Does anyone have any remedies? Hoyaheel Posted August 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2013 Could be heat or walking, could be water retention from eating a lot of foods high in salt (restaurant food in general is higher in salt than home cooked foods) Drink LOTS of water to flush your system, and bring a pair of comfy/stretching shoes, just in case. (there have been quite a few threads on this in the past with various remedy & diagnosis options - might find other useful information if you search)

Andee Posted August 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2013 You may want to consider titling your posts something more descriptive than "Help" or "another question"
Rare Scrapnana Posted August 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2013 Mine swell when I travel. A number of people recommended black cherry capsules. They helped my feet and ankles. Read through this thread. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=175168
sail7seas Posted August 12, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2013 Try to avoid soups on ships. They are loaded with salt.
