Elbow Beach/Swizzle Inn

We will be spending that day at Elbow beach and were wondering the the Swizzle Inn (South Road) is within walking distance. I haven't been able to find it on google maps.

 

We we thinking we might go there for lunch if it's within a mile.

Google Maps estimates it at 2km ...so that's about a mile and a quarter.

 

Personally I think it's far too dangerous to walk on South Road for any distance.

Thanks for the info - perhaps we will taxi it to be on the safe side.... especially on the way back after a couple of rum swizzles :)

The distance from Elbow Beach to the Swizzle, South Shore is about 1.2 miles. I would not recommend walking to the SSS because of the lack of sidewalks and breakdown lanes when walking on South Rd. Be safe and take the bus.

It is a pretty easy safe walk. Our odyssey started upon standing up at the Swizzle Inn!
