Any flightseeing in New Zealand

Recommended Posts

My DB and I are cruising with Celebrity in December from New Zealand to Australia. Most of the stops are in NZ (Auckland, Bay of Islands, Tauranga, Wellington, Akaroa, Dunedin) Hobart Tasmania and Sydney Australia. What we enjoyed so much about Alaska last year was the flightseeing, 2 by plane and 1 helicopter. Celebrity doesn't show any flight excursions for this cruise. Is anyone familiar with any flight excursions at these ports? Thank you! :)

I can, from experience, reccomend the HeliPro guys in Weelington. Along with a few friends I have done the Wild South Coaster and thoroughly enjoyed it.

For something a little different see if there's any flight schools operating from airports near your stops and you may be able to combine some sightseeing with a TIF (trial introductory flight) where you can take the controls. These can be done in helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft and are a lot of fun.
