Yes, if they don't run the excursion the amount will be fully refunded to you on board account. But, if they run it even at a different time there is no refunds. You should go see the shore excursion desk.
fishywood Posted September 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2013 You are scheduled in Victoria from 7 until midnight. Even if they do divert to help that sailboat they might only be slightly late in arriving (around six hours from now). If the call is entirely cancelled you will be credited back for ship's excursions. But as this is the mandatory foreign port call I expect they will be alongside for at least four hours even if noticably late. So if your excursion is rescheduled to leave, say, at 9:00 rather than 7:00 you will still be expected to take it. (fingers crossed for minimal disruption for both Star Princess and the sailboat in distress)

mcrimmins Posted September 7, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2013 Glad to hear that the Star was right there to render aid. We were on her last week and would gladly have given up an hour in port to offer aid to someone in peril. Mike
