Better time for Hubbard - morning or afternoon?

We are looking at travelling on Radiance this June in Alaska. The Northbound itinerary says the Hubbard Glacier passing is between 0700 - 1100, while the Southbound itinerary shows 1400 - 1800.

Is one preferable over the other as far as best (better) chance to actually see versus running into fog, etc.?

Are there any other considerations in deciding between Northbound/Southbound?

Thanks in advance!

If you want to take full advantage of the scenery, it starts before those times. :) It makes NO difference what time you see Hubbard, there is NO way to predict any weather, how close the cpt gets etc.

It may be an advantage for some to sail southbound so to enjoy more of inside Vancouver Island, which on the northbound is mostly sailed at night. ( I am ALWAYS up at least 30 minutes prior to dawn and out on deck). You also may want to compare port times.
