Oosterdam stuck in Seattle overnight due to storm

I can't say enough about Captain Van Der Loo on the Oosterdam, if he's remained aboard from last week's sailing. We had a remarkably smooth trip, all things considered. From reading this, though, I feel fortunate we actually made it back home to Phoenix from Seattle yesterday!

Re Sails quote above, where is Captain van der Loo going? We were on the Oosterdam last March in the South Pacific when we were chased back to Sydney by a cyclone. Captain van der Loo was brilliant and we were hoping he was going to be on our next cruise in 4 weeks time.

My friends are on board right now so glad they stayed in Seattle overnight. It was windy in the Vancouver area too and all the ferries were cancelled.
