Wine Packages

Can someone explain the Wine Packages please?

I get the 2 levels, the low tier and high tier, but exactly what do I get?

As I understand it's basically pre-purchasing ___ bottles of wine in advance at a discount?

Any by the glass specials etc.?

Any special consideration with the dispensing systems?

What is the differentiation between high and low tier.... (a specific dollar amount?) imagine the list isn't as specific and all-inclusive as website lists, that's just representative?

Thanks....!

(If necessary: regarding upcoming Reflection 7 night caribbean cruise)

On the Celebrity forum main page, click "Search This Forum" in the upper right. Type in "Wine" and you'll get all the answers to the questions you asked and all the context and details surrounding those answers including prices, wine lists, rules, experiences, etc…

For example, in a matter of seconds you will find helpful posts like this:

From the Celebrity website: Beverage Packages:

Use your Beverage Package many places on board

Your chosen beverage package can be used in many areas of the ship - the Main Restaurant, any specialty restaurant, the casual dining restaurants and buffet, plus all bars and lounges. Beverage packages cannot be used at the in-stateroom mini bar, through Room Service, or at the Enomatic® wine dispensing system in Cellar Masters

We've purchased a wine package the last two cruises. To be clear what we got in case there is more than one type of package - we purchased a five bottle premium wine package. The pricing was approximately 20% cheaper than purchasing the wines individually. At whatever restaurant we were at (Blu, MDR, or specialty) DH just told the sommelier he had the package (it is noted on your account as well) and the sommelier advised a wine from the package based on what we preferred that day. If we did not finish a bottle, it was saved until the next time (and moved from venue to venue if need be). There is a list you can view ahead of time which lists the different wines available at each level. Basically they are chosen within a price range (as opposed to a basic vs premium beverage package where you are given a specific dollar amount for the basic).
