cruiseluvva Posted October 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2013 Ah right, well we quite liked the Commodore Club, but that was late at night for us. There is the Midship Bar, that might be good for a pre- dinner drink. Have a great time, she's a nice ship.

So where is the best bar somewhere quiet that the boss can get her champagne cocktail our first time on queen Elizabeth . If not in the Grills, most definately the Commodore Club.It spans the entire beam of the ship. There is plenty of space there if you want a bit more of an intemate setting. Pennbank Posted October 19, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2013 ...at all the three Queens!:D Can agree against QM2 and QV, QE yet to be tried in January however, The Chart Room and (Golden Lion for lunch) on QM2 are also great, depending on ones mood. Think I prefer Commodore Club on QM2 to that on QV. Although both magic to be in. Hemispheres on QV (Called Yacht Club on QE) also very nice . Better Then G32. :D
Classiccruiser777 Posted October 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 19, 2013 For people watching prior to dinner & proximity to the restaurant the Mid-Ships Bar is very nice. After dinner, the Commodore Club, all the way forward & above the bridge, is conducive to relaxation and conversation.
Lanky Lad Posted October 19, 2013 #9 Share Posted October 19, 2013 I like the Garden Lounge on QE that's usually quiet but does have a bar.
BobBranst Posted October 19, 2013 #10 Share Posted October 19, 2013 We liked to stop at the Midships bar on the QE before and after dinner or shows when the solo pianist or the string quartet are playing. We (also) prefer the Commodore Club on the QM2 for the late night relaxation. In the afternoon, the little bar in the QE Golden Lion is a great place to gather when it's not too busy. Lanky Lad Posted October 19, 2013 #12 Share Posted October 19, 2013 My memory is obviously failing....I thought there was a champagne bar! Did I dream it? I think there was a small part of the midships bar which had a display of champagne.
MeredithFairfax Posted October 19, 2013 #13 Share Posted October 19, 2013 I think there was a small part of the midships bar which had a display of champagne. Yes of course, that must be why I'm confused. It doesn't take much :D
maggiemou Posted October 20, 2013 #14 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Commodore on all three Queens is the best place for pre dinner drinks IMO. They serve nice warm canapes at 8-0pm each evening. Also there is a small Veuve Clicquot bar in midships area.
turquoise 6 Posted October 21, 2013 #15 Share Posted October 21, 2013 I sailed Transatlantic from NY to Southampton, in April 2013. I prefer the Commodore Bar. In fact ,the bar tender, from the Commodore on QM2 was transfered to the Queen Elizabeth.
snoozy Posted October 21, 2013 #16 Share Posted October 21, 2013 My favourite bar on QE is the Commodore Club. The atmosphere is relaxing during the daytime and sophisticated in the evening. We get our champagne fix there too, rather than the Midships Bar.
