123Funcruiser456 Posted October 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Could anyone give me the explanation of the dinner names (what the menu would basically be?) and on which days they are given? Example: MOJO (1st day--formal--prime rib) PIMENTO BASIL JASMINE SAFFRON SHIITAKE POMODORO Really would appreciate it, as it will help us choose which nites to go to specialty rest. if we do not care for menus (yes, our pre-planner is posted & this would take care of 1 issue :D)! thank you for any help here! DicAnns Posted October 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Pretty sure this is the order unless it has changed recently: Mojo Saffron Pimiento Shiitake Jasmin Basil Pomodoro
Ourusualbeach Posted October 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Saffron and jasmine are always the formal night menus. Saffron is always on day 2 and Jasmine is usually on day 5 or day 6 depending on the itinerary.
123Funcruiser456 Posted October 23, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Thanks so much for the info! You are the BEST. Sure hope that those days stay the same for pre-planned dinner reservations; it helps soooo much to know what is being served, since we have to book our dining ahead! I am finding that there may be too much "planning" for this cruise w/booking shows, dinners, extras. Does anyone else feel the same way? It seems that every minute must be "filled" & somehow this kinda defeats the relaxing theory.......................... Anyway, on to the "bookings" now!:) Francis

marklodi Posted October 23, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2013 The dinner order changes slightly between Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries on the Oasis (Wed & Thur flips). Here is what I have found, based on recent Compass scans here on CC: Western Caribbean Sat - Mojo Sun - Saffron (Formal) Mon - Pimento Tue - ****ake Wed - Jasmine (Formal) Thu - Basil Fri - Pomodoro Eastern Caribbean Sat - Mojo Sun - Saffron (Formal) Mon - Pimento Tue - ****ake Wed - Basil Thu - Jasmine (Formal) Fri - Pomodoro Hope that help. :)
xrayvin Posted October 23, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Saffron and jasmine are always the formal night menus. Saffron is always on day 2 and Jasmine is usually on day 5 or day 6 depending on the itinerary. Then I would assume if we only 1 formal night (5 day cruise) we will only get Saffron or Jasmine, not both. I had read the order for the 4 day on the LOS prior to our sailing was MOJO, SAFFRON, JASMINE, PIMIENTO. I thought they would just add one of the other 3 onto our sailing. Now I am wondering if this would be correct. Surely they would not do 2 formal night menus in a row. thanks for any help. To the OP enjoy the Oasis!! Looks like an amazing ship.
