Any Good Shopping Malls in Pt. Canaveral area??

In December coming into Port Canaveral for the day on the Carnival Splendor.

One of the onboard excursions is a bus trip to the Premium Outlet Mall ($60 p/p round trip).

That to me seems very expensive. Surely there must be a shopping mall with a variety of stores closer to the cruise terminal where a short taxi ride might be in order.

 

Any suggestions from those living in the area - or those who have had a "stop-over" ???

I believe the Premium Outlet mall is either the one in Orlando or the one near St. Augustine -- you are essentially paying for a bus ride. Your best bet is to rent a car for the day and go where you want to go.

Your looking at an hour bus ride to get to any major malls. Orlando and St Augustine are the closest with malls . They are at least an hour away by car . I don't think a taxi would take you from Port Canaveral to either without fare surcharge for the time lost to return to Pt Canaveral. Sam for taxi's in Orlando/ St Augustine

Above posts are correct. There is no mall close to PC.

Merritt Square Mall is only 8 miles away and has a Macy's. I passed it on the way to Cocoa Beach from I-95.

"outlet malls" are a different question . . .

 

"outlet" means Orlando, St Aug', or Vero . . .

Just wanted to get some items to bring back to Canada - and some for the rest of the trip too...
