kalliyan1 Posted November 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2013 It is a cruise for DH and myself. We have cruised before on many cruise line including Royal. We have never been on either ship. Other than the obvious, what is the biggest pro's/cons of one ship over the other. TIA
DonnaK Posted November 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2013 Price? Fort Lauderdale vs Cape Canaveral? One more port on the Freedom itinerary?
RCI Cruisers 004 Posted November 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2013 Hard to beat Freedoms Western route. The 4 stops are great and something Allure doesn't do. But the Allure is an amazing ship. It will totally blow you away ! I would say try Freedom first and then Allure !

md2661 Posted November 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2013 Just got off of the Allure this past Sunday and with that sailing my wife and I have done both ships. The food was NOT good last week on the Allure. Dining room seemed to have issues with the food just being warm. The ship is awesome and you do need to give it a try but we prefer FOS. We did a B2B in September and also sailed her last year. I would suggest FOS first and then the Allure. Just my two cents.
kathyemma Posted November 6, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 6, 2013 The first time on Oasis - I hated it. Really missed the Freedom class. The second time I loved it. The first time I missed seeing the water. There are a lot of interior spots on the ship - you really need to go out of your way to see the water. I would book based on the islands. Big_G Posted November 6, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 6, 2013 Allure Pros: it's the largest cruise ship in the world. Cons: it's the largest cruise ship in the world. We do like Freedom more but Allure or Oasis should be tried at least once. Happy sailing with whatever you decide.
