Cushing985 Posted November 18, 2013 #127 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Daddy's been gone for almost 19 years and I have silly and fun memories of him -- but more childhood ones and early adulthood... Howard's been gone for almost 9 years and I have great memories of our marriage and life together. But I love creating these memories with Nana... They are later in both of our lives and at a point where I have kind of become a Mommie to her... and we're having such FUN FUN FUN!!! Thank you!!! What a great attitude to have! I dread the day when I start losing my loved ones and hope to have the same outlook as yours.
Lovharvey Posted November 18, 2013 #128 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Lambie, the pictures are great! It was great to see Nana and yourself most mornings at the "Situation Room". It was a great cruise! 2nd Halloween cruise I have been fortunate enough to be able to do and they are so much fun. Be sure to snag my costume pictures when you get to that part. :)

LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #130 Share Posted November 20, 2013 After my walk-about of Deck 5... don't forget, the ship is about three football fields long... I felt good about getting some exercise, today. Now, I'll feel good about some eating, too!!! Dinner will be soon. But first, let's do some more walking around the decks and looking at the island and the scenery! Checking the TV to see how it looks while we're in port, it tells me we're here. I like this, because it reminds me which side of the island we're on, and where we are is perspective to home, Texas... Here's what the compass on Deck 9 says... LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #131 Share Posted November 20, 2013 And looking at other things on the deck, please some tell what this is??? What is Technical Water??? I know purified water, and distilled water, and tap water, and sea water... But... Going outside, let me snap a pictures in our window... I have a special Tshirt, that I travel with, in honor of a friend. A young man, a high school student who is fighting cancer in Houston. "Team Tim" is his support network... and everywhere we go, he goes with us!!! So here's Team Tim in Jamaica!!! Because the Eurodam was also in port, our departure was delayed. We let her depart first. We we scheduled to leave at 5:30 -- which would be just before our early seating dinner, but now the Captain says we'll leave about 7pm -- which will be in the middle of dinner. I enjoy watching us leave a port, sailing away and land getting farther and farther in the distance. But, I'd miss that today... but maybe, just maybe I'd see a sunset! I think, that's what I miss most about early seating dinners, the sunsets.
LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #132 Share Posted November 20, 2013 On your FunTimes, it always lists sunrise and sunset times. 5:40 -- let's go out and see. Ahhh... Maybe, with a 5:40 sunset time, I will catch a bit of it... and be slightly late for dinner...
LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #133 Share Posted November 20, 2013 I don't know how well it comes across in the photos, but there are "rainbow-refractions" in the clouds!!! Jamaica... of course, what better place!! I'm thinking, "I sober and straight. Yet I look in the sky and see rainbows. This must be Jamaica!!!" After dinner, we sightsee a bit on the way back "home." You can see, we're not to far from Jamaica... And the Sports Deck...
LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #134 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Here's what greets us as we open the door to our Stateroom... Not only the bat from yesterday -- but a dinosaur... And out FunTimes for tomorrow...
LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #135 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Thanks for the Lanai tour! You're very welcome. Thank you for reading and being patient as I'm taking too much darned time getting this written. I'm fighting with Windows8, something I don't understand and am positively NOT used to or liking... and fighting with Cruise Critic's limit of how many photos can go into one post... I know, excuses and more excuse... :o
LambKnuckles Posted November 20, 2013 Author #136 Share Posted November 20, 2013 What a great attitude to have! I dread the day when I start losing my loved ones and hope to have the same outlook as yours. Thank you!! I sometimes have to paste a smile on my face, and laugh a few times at myself, to get me through a day... But you know... Life is what it is. And our memories and our "footprint" is what life was. I always pray that what I see behind me, what others see when they think of me, will be Happiness. We all have tough roads to hoe. We all have our ups and downs. I pray that your ups are just Heavenly... and your downs are when you have a helping hand to reach for, and a dream to hang on to, and comfort in knowing -- there is always Happiness in your future, somewhere!!! Final thought: For a tablet / mini-pc / touchscreen Win 8 is great. But the interface is junk for a regular computer user.

But the interface is junk for a regular computer user. You're right... and I don't have a touch screen. I think it would be great with that! I saw a Windows8.1 update when I logged on this morning and have put off updating worried that they will make it worse...
