Divi Posted November 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2013 This will be our first visit and we have booked a Seadoo excursion and a clamshell . Will there be a secure spot to leave our belongings at the Seadoo spot? Does HAL give out towels as you are leaving the ship or once you are on the island? What is appropriate attire? A coverup over a bathing suit? Thanks for your help.
CruiserBruce Posted November 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2013 There is no dress code on HMC. You can wear anything you like. Towels are issued on the island, or you can bring from the ship.
LHC Posted November 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2013 they do have lockers at the excursion sites as DD and I used them when we swam with the stingrays once. We wore t-shirts over our swimsuits and many ladies had cover ups. LHC

sail7seas Posted November 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2013 There is no dress code on HMC. You can wear anything you like. Towels are issued on the island, or you can bring from the ship. We have never seen towels provided on the island. Actually, we once needed another and asked where we could get one and were told we had to go back to the ship to get towels. They give out beach towels at the gangway where you board the tenders to go to the island. Be sure to take your towel (s) as you leave the ship. This applies to all ports as well. If you are going to the beach, HAL will loan you a towel you can bring ashore and you will get it at the gangway. Be sure to return it to the ship at the end of the day. A Chief (now called Executive) Housekeeper once told me how he has sent stewards to some of the beaches to collect ship's towels when he knows many have been left behind. Awful...... bring back your towel. :)

There are lockers you can put your stuff in but when we got to the aquatrax site, they said we could leave our phones etc. with them, but if we had wallets etc. they had to stay with us. Also they give you a bottle of water/coca cola after you're done. IN regards to the towels, we didn't bring any, we completely missed where they were giving them out... But we didn't need them. Only got a little wet. Have a great time.
Typhoon1 Posted November 9, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Beach wear is completely appropriate. If you walk to the far end of the beach area, past the horse stables, you might find people wearing nothing at all.:eek:
