$5 Casino Cash Per Day Mail Offer From Royal Caribbean

Anybody have any experience with this offer? Arrived in the mail today:

Exclusive offer for Lewis ******** on any cruise through April 2014

Book your cruise by Dec 13, 2013, call RCCL or your T/A.

Casino cash ($5) per day up to a maximum of 7 days. Non-transferable and cannot be combined with any other offer and subject to availability at time of booking and recent casino rated play which requires verification.

----------------------

I'm not a high roller. Maybe enough casino points for a T-shirt on each cruise. While $5 per day is rather small, I have a bunch of cruises that I booked previously between now and April 2014.

Questions:

- Is it good for any cruise booked prior to the mailing?

- How do you redeem the offer in the casino?

- How does the "rated play verification" work?

- Is it only good for 1 cruise? (Did you have to surrender the mailing upon redemption?)

- Do NextCruise on-board credits or Diamond balcony discounts void the offer?

Lots of questions,

Thanks,

Lou

My wife and I both received the $5 version yesterday. It sounds like the value of the offer is based on your previous tracked play in the casino. We're not big spenders, but we do put our sea pass cards in the slots whenever we play.

We have two cruises booked before the April deadline, so it will be interesting to see if we can use the coupon on both.

I received $5 casino cash card today as well. Husband did not. I always use my sea pass when playing in casino slots. Husband does the table games. Going on Dec 2. will see how this card is used. It is a 10 day cruise, also have one coming up in Feb. a 7 day one. Will let you know how it works, but someone will have already posted a reply by then. Will check back when I get back.

My husband received this card yesterday and I called about it. We have 3 cruises before April 2014, but it can only be used on our March 2014 cruise. The other cruises have some kind of discount and they cannot be combined. She took his name down and when we are on that cruise, he is just to go to the cashier in the casino to get his credit. I just hope we don't forget about it till then. :p

It isn't just for new bookings. We've had these cruises booked for a while.

I'll have to check my mailbox! (haven't checked today's mail yet)... I am in Club Royale and it won't the the first time I didn't get offers in the mail that others have received...even though I do qualify for some decent rebates (anywhere from $175 to $450 per trip).

My partner received the $5 offer in the mail today, I received nothing. The funny thing is, I typically spend more in the casino than he does. Perhaps mine will arrive in a day or two. (Unless it's one per address). But, we always get the D+ balcony discount, and OBC, so maybe we won't qualify for their measly $35 (7 days max).

We both received emails, and DW kept her last name, so it doesn't appear to be a name or address trigger. We also always get the D+ balcony discount, and all of our cruises are booked from NCCs so we always get OBC, so that doesn't seem to be it either. Does either of you not have them scan your sea pass card to track play?

We both always play with our sea pass cards inserted. I'm sure I'll receive mine in a day or two. But, even though we get the mailing, we might be ineligible due to the balcony discount and OBC from the NCC...You know RCI...always saying "not combinable" with Anything! LOL

Ok, got mine today...It's for $10 per day.

Cool. That answers a big question as well. The more you play the larger the credit:)

We're going to try and use ours on our NYE cruise, and will post back if all of our current discounts prevent us from using them. I don't plan on asking, just showing up at the casino cashier's window and seeing what happens;)

I received it also and called yesterday. I was told that it is for new bookings only :(

Call again, because my husband was accepted for our March 2014 cruise and we booked that quite a while ago. Unless, when we get there, they will refuse him. Doesn't really matter, it would only be $35 anyway. Hardly worth fussing over.

Got a $10 per day offer yesterday - called today - we were already booked on Explorer NYE cruise w/our Diamond balcony discount as well as a resident discount -- put on hold - came back - no problem - just show picture ID at casino cage to receive $70.

We got an answer today too. I got $10 a day for the casino and hubby didn't get one because he's in the player club. He is getting $250 to use on his next cruise from being in the players club. It's based on his monitored play time. I can use the $10 per day card on our already booked cruise in Dec or our cruise in March. We did receive a balcony discount and resident discount, so we are using ours for Christmas. Nice unexpected gift.

boo hoo. I didn't get the offer, even though I typically play slots each cruise and cruise often. Last time on the Serenade I had a lot of trouble getting the machine to read my card so I just gave up and played without inserting my card. , nor did I bother putting in my sea pass on the Majesty last weekend. I do jump around many machines. hmmmm lesson learned.

Call an attendant if you are having trouble. Sometimes we have to reinsert the seapass a few times and we always watch to make sure it's monitoring points. Somehow they told my husband that I should be getting invited to the players club soon, based on recent play and points. Hubby always calls a special number before each cruise and they tell him how much he gets to pick up from the host. The highest was a little over $300, so with getting $250 for the next cruise, that isn't too shabby either.

First I wanted to say Resolutions is very helpful, even when not asked. Secondly I wanted to let you know, often the agent can and do put notes of conversations on your reservations page.

I was waiting for a discount to be applied to an onboard booking which wasn't as I was then told by a landside CVP Agent b/c I didn't qualify yet had a flyer saying the opposite. I canceled, but sent the flyer to show them their inconsistencies and suggested they use it as a training prop.

Resolutions emailed me immediately, I hadn't even asked to speak with them, and they wanted to reinstate my booking and that I was right.

I asked about another issue I had Monday, where I was denied to upsell one of my three cabins on an upcoming cruise based on the C&A Tuesday sale. Resolutions said the rep was wrong and this was so simple it should have been done right away. She mentioned the rep who denied me, actually put notes on the booking, (which in fact helped me as proof I was denied an upsell). So long as you pay more, you can upsell.

I couldn't be more pleased with resolutions reaching out to me without being asked and their heartfelt apology. They even acknowledged, I have an abundance of knowledge regarding their policies (more than some of their reps for sure)!!!!!

Obviously Resolutions is a great tool for us. I'm sure I'll have to control my urge to call them to ask them simple questions. But seriously, if you have an issue where you know you are right but received bad information from a CVP agent, resolutions told me to either ask to speak with the agent's supervisor or a resolutions agent. Good advice.

Same here with our Oasis cruise in a few weeks. Booked w/ Diamond Balcony discount and resident discount months ago, using a TA. I got a $5 per day offer, wife got $10. I called the number and told them about the Oasis booking. The women had on record the offers we received, and just told us to show picture ID at the cage.

Very easy.
