Whistler

When we arrive in Vancouver in May after our cruise aboard the Celebrity Solstice - we would like to visit Whistler, BC for a couple of days.

Does anyone know of a good transportation company to pick us up at the port -drive us to Whistler and then in a day or two drive us from Whistler to the airport.

We have thought of renting a car, but my husband would like to enjoy the scenery - so driving is out.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Thank you very much for the link - I will surely check out the options.

Just so there are no surprises when you are deciding how to get up their, parking in extremely expensive. If you don't need a car the bus service is a good option.

Expensive parking?

Take a look at this link - clearly shows that the gravel lots are still free and at $8.00 a day for the paved lots that is cheap compared to Vancouver.

You really don't need a car while in Whistler as the town was developed along the European ski village model where everything is close at hand and joined by walk ways etc.

Hope this helps and enjoy your visit.

I spend a month during the Paralympics living in Whistler - lots to see and do close in to the town.

If you are into bike riding - rent a bike and cycle the Valley trail - mostly paved and links all the various areas and yes there are some rolling hills but nothing too extreme.

Cheers!

Dennis

Thank you all, still trying to figure out which tour company to use, but looking forward to our couple of days in Whistler.

This company does 1-way YVR to Whistler for $65 per person and another $65 for the return trip.

You may consider going to whistler by bus and coming back by train.
