Liberty of the Seas or Glory

I am a long time Royal Cruiser and have been pricing the Liberty with the Cozumel and Belize itinerary for a winter cruise. My sister keeps telling me I should give Carnival a try. So I checked it out and I can get a Glory 7 day (similar itinerary) for just about the same price as the Liberty 5 day. Anyone sail both? What do you think? I do have Diamond, but not sure the perks would offset a couple of extra days--and a stop at Roatan, Honduras!

Roatan is such a super beautiful place, if you havent been there, you are missing out!

 

I just think you should decide whats most important for you, keep on adding up points or try a new line + 2 more days. I think that having more days for less money means something about the product quality you will get with Carnival. I would go ahead and try another line however it would not be Carnival.

Navigator out of Galveston and Serenade from NOLA both go to Roatan on 7 night cruises. You may want to check that out. Serenade has been refurbished and has a Diamond Lounge. Navigator will be refurbished during January 2014 and will have both a Diamond Lounge and a flow-rider after that dry dock.

I'm not a carnival fan but I'm not blind about royal neither, but I rather travel with royal

Thanks for your input and ideas! NOLA is one of my favorite cities, but we are already going to be in Florida. Going to check out Princess and NCL. Also looking at Carnival Legend or Dream.

7 days versus 5? I'd take the 7 in a heartbeat!

 

If you haven't asked this question on the Carnival board, you might want to do so. You might as well get as many informed opinions as possible.
