Is Taxi best from LaGuardia to Times Square?

My two sisters and I are arriving in New York at LaGuardia on Sunday December 8. Is a taxi the best way to get to our hotel in Times Square? Anyone know how much it will cost?

Some folks might recommend a car service, but I'd just do a cab. It should be about $40. I have NEVER arrived at LGA when there weren't a parade of cab waiting for a fare.

You can save money doing a shared van like super shuttle or by taking a private bus to penn station or port authority depending on where your hotel is http://www.nycairporter.com

We do a taxi and it is fine. Some folks recommend a car service but we just find at LaGuardia a Taxi works very well.
