Price increases

Wow! I checked the prices for my cruise in May this morning and prices for balcony cabins went up $400!! :eek:

Because of new fuel regulations and the Pride leaving, it all contributes to the price going up. More people want to squeeze on it because they want to say goodbye. Just stay and wait for it to go down, then they pay your back the money! Poor people who are gonna book it now :(

Both of the trips I have booked have inched up $30, $40 steadily for weeks. This morning, one jumped $250 across all categories, the other $280 per category. Yikes!

I have 4 cabins booked on the Dream for next August...3 of the 4 went up $400 and 1 went up $460...glad I booked a few months ago instead of now, I would be out an additional $1,660 if I booked today

I noticed the price of my Breeze cruise went up, and Early Saver is now gone. Glad I booked the other day when Early Saver rates were still available! :eek:

Where did the Early Saver fares go? For my cruise, the other fares are only slightly more than two days ago, but the Early Saver was so much less but is now gone?

Early Saver disappeared for my cruise as well, I think because I am now within the 5 months period when it is suppose to disappear.

Just when we finally decided to go in May the price jacked up before our TA could book it b/c she is on a cruise right now....grrrr. Unless it goes back down a little after the new year looks like we may end up sailing in April instead.....

My cruise went up almost $100 each for a total of almost $300 over yesterdays price and the Early Saver rate that was showing yesterday is now gone as well.

I'm speculating but maybe after the dining announcement so many people booked that it made the prices go up.

I figured another sale was coming. Carnival tends to do this right before a 'sale'.

All companies do these things. It certainly isn't unique to Carnival.

 

But, now people who book under current rates can come along later and brag about all the ES price drops they've gotten!!! :rolleyes:

 

It's marketing. It's supply and demand. It's a fact of life. I don't know why anyone is surprised by price fluctuations.

My May Liberty cruise went up almost $200. Now just hope we don't have to change due to DH's work schedule.

i was checking my cruise in may for a price change but it went the other way!!!! glad i booked when i did... balcony room went up 170 smackers per person...

 

big sale in January??? maybe we will a price change heading south?? :D

On Carnival, increased prices means they are about to have a sale.

It also means Early Saver will disappear for a while. and usually prices go up enough that when they have the sale, it equals out to what you would have paid before the sale
