Rental Cars- Port Everglades

After our Liberty cruise, I'd like to rent a car at the port, drive to Miami and spend one night there.

 

Does anyone know of any rental agencies that will provide a free shuttle at the port to the agency to pick up the car? trying to avoid taking a cab.

(I've tried to call ones that say port everglades as a location, but no one ever seems to answer!)

Budget on 17th street has a free shuttle to the port.

There are free shuttles to the rental car center at the airport which is about 5 minutes away. All the major rental companies are located there.

 

Dollar has a station right at the exit of the port. But it will probably take you just as long to get there as it would take you to take a shuttle to the RCC.

We have always used rental agencies located at the airport and just use their shuttle at the port to get to the airport. Usually pretty easy!

so as long as I reserve a car at the airport, I can just take a free shuttle from the port off the ship to the rental car center? Sweet! that makes my life A LOT easier planning this!

You would need a minivan taxi, but that's what I would do. Cheaper than a shuttle, especially for 5 people.

Thanks! That's what I figured, but good to get a confirmation.

 

Are they likely just available waiting after the cruise, or should we figure out a company to call as we disembark? We are three families, so we'd need 2 vans (2 families of 5) and a normal taxi (one family of 3).
