Luau on the Grand

Not exactly a luau, but it is a very nice evening, the night in Honolulu.

A wonderful dance group comes onboard, and they perform in the theater.

(Others on this board will remember the name of the group, composed of young people and young mothers.)

The buffet has Hawaiian food that night, very good.

Then there is a deck party for sail away.

A very nice evening. No kidding.

My experience was on the Sapphire last March, but other descriptions made it sound similar on the Golden.

There is usually a luau available as a shore excursion in Honolulu.

Enjoy!

Aloha :)

I found the name of the Hawaiian dance group that comes on board in Honolulu.

They are: Halau Hula Olana.

This group is just fantastic' date=' so don't miss them for some real Hawaiian culture.[/quote']

I agree that they are great. A not to miss.

I have been on three Hawaiian cruises and haven't heard on any luau on board. There is the ultimate deck party' date=' but the last cruise, there was no food spreads.[/quote']

Are you talking about the Grands last cruise to Hawaii?

Thanks!

Tom
