Rare jimbo5544 Posted December 22, 2013 #26 Share Posted December 22, 2013 Hi :) Here is Carnival's new, current Chef Table menu (May 2013) LOL Jimbo!! we were both posting at the same time, hahahahaha:) :) I was to lazy to go scan it and send. In the end it probably would have been easier. It is interesting to see the changes. While I have experienced both, you kind of forget about it till you see it side by side. I miss those scrumptious prime beef tacos and tasty bits of avocado cheesecake from the original menu! Also, the last time we did it, even though we went through the motions of making the warm melting chocolate cake in the galley - it was not served during the meal. No matter how many times I have that dessert, what's not to like!! :) Tom

Those stuffed green olives with asiago (and some other type of cheese....yum). wow.

seannyice81 Posted December 22, 2013 #30 Share Posted December 22, 2013 While we're on this topic, can you all refresh my memory on how much it is? Also, I assume its available on every sailing? I might do this on my upcoming cruise.

Cruiserforlife052607 Posted December 22, 2013 Author #32 Share Posted December 22, 2013 $75 pp And yes every Carnival ship. At least that's what Carnival.com says.
Cruiserforlife052607 Posted December 22, 2013 Author #33 Share Posted December 22, 2013 I found one from the Pride in 2012 . Here it is: Reception - ahi tuna tatar, wasabi crisp Duck pot sticker - steak taco Avocado cheesecake Menu - Norwegian salmon tartar Avocado mousse, salmon caviar Fire roasted tomato and poblano chili bisque Grilled corn, cilantro drizzle Rock shrimps and apple beignets Tapioca crunch, garlic lemon aioli Chopped Mediterranean salad Shaved pumpkin, feta cheese crumble Fillet of Chilean sea bass Wine stewed shallots and chive vinaigrette, leeks emulsion, peas risotto Aged filet mignon Onion streusel, homemade three pepper mustard Dessert was something like 1000. Tastes. Little samples of things all over the plate. This is the old menu. Short ribs have replaced the fillet. As you can see it is eclectic. The wife does not participate (her tastes are say we say a bit more conservative) I go with others in the group. I could not find the new menu in our cruise collection box, hope this helps. Thanks so much for your reply!!
Colorado Kat Posted December 23, 2013 #34 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Do you have to sign up for this ahead of time, or can you do it once on the ship?
Cruiserforlife052607 Posted December 23, 2013 Author #35 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Do you have to sign up for this ahead of time, or can you do it once on the ship? You can sign up once in ship but you may not get a spot. DH emailed carnival guest services to set it up. But they never got back to him after a week. He went to John Healds fan page and asked if it was normal for them to take that long to get back to him and John said no and that he would take care of it. DH got an email from them two days later confirming the two of us for Chefs table on Miracle 2/2. It said once we are on board they would let us know what night we were booked for. Rare Rogueperson Posted December 24, 2013 #36 Share Posted December 24, 2013 You have to confirm. I booked it a month ahead of time, but then found out onboard they never booked me even though I had an email confirmation. Somehow, I got a normal reservation for the steakhouse instead. Fortunately, I did confirm/book the first night.
Lerin Posted December 24, 2013 #37 Share Posted December 24, 2013 About a month or so ago there was a post(or perhaps a link to a blog) which had photos of each dish as well as the table set up and things. Looked great. Maybe try a search.
