wrigley80 Posted January 10, 2014 Author #353 Share Posted January 10, 2014 It was like we had the whole ship to ourselves. Everyone was outside enjoying the sun Our hallway looking forward What is the worse part about vacation?? Everyone say it with me.....Packing Up but this time wasn't so bad because we still had 9 days of vacation to go We decided to pack up a little before heading up to dinner One last view of the ocean before it got too dark. Ahhhh We decided to hit up the Taste Bar on this final night. The taste bar was on deck 9 just past the Photo Gallery
wrigley80 Posted January 10, 2014 Author #354 Share Posted January 10, 2014 Our waiters dancing to "What Does the Fox Say".....kinda odd watching an Indonesian man sing a song by two Norwegian guys ;) The final food porn on the Imagination cruise These guys were great. Ask to sit in Felix's section on the Imagination if you have anytime dining Awwwww the Heart

sunny4jj Posted January 10, 2014 #356 Share Posted January 10, 2014 Well we got our showers and got cleaned up and we headed up to dinner. Dinner this night was relaxed because there weren't too many people in the dining room. I think there were still a lot of people out partying at Fat Tuesdays and Senor Frogs in Cozumel This was Jerminka. She was a junior hostess in the dining room from Bosnia Herzegovina. My dad fell in love with her :p. She was so nice. We are now friends on FB Flat Iron Steak.....aka Old Faithful for my Dad This was the diet Pumpkin Pie.....don't order this it tasted like wallpaper paste I won't ask how you know know what wallpaper paste tastes like😜! poptart Posted January 11, 2014 #359 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Brianna, Rose did an excellent job of describing paradise beach. My daughter is handicapped and loved the pool there. the steps and handrails made it easy for her. Your dad will love it. My husband never gets in the water and HE loved the pool at paradise. My 22 year old granddaughter and her friend loved the beach and water toys. Paradise is a perfect beach for any age. We are not big drinkers or eaters so we don't do all inclusive. Congratulations on your new job. It sounds perfect for you. Sent from my SM-T310 using Forums mobile app

2 cruzen Posted January 11, 2014 #362 Share Posted January 11, 2014 I guess if the pictures are $32 each, the cd isn't that bad, but geez, such a mark up. I always thought if Carnival would lower the price of their pictures they would sell so many more. IF people are like me. Quantity at a lesser price point than less pictures sold at higher prices. Re: Paradise beach, we would be tempted to go there too. We started out requesting going to the Money Bar beach since I had read it has good snorkeling, but very little beach. Cab driver suggested Mr. Sanchos so that's how we ended up there. Actually, I would like to do the Cozumel Bar Bus Hop, just to visit the opposite side of the island. Can't wait for the 2nd part. I know what you mean thinking 37 degrees is wonderful. We had our -25 weather the first week of December and it was horrid.

It is absolutely beautiful over there. I will get started on the 2nd part tomorrow. wrigley80 Posted January 11, 2014 Author #368 Share Posted January 11, 2014 We disembarked the Carnival Imagination on Friday, December 7th and we headed to Budget Rental Car to pick up our car to head towards New Orleans. Now we had originally intended to drive through to New Orleans but after talking with a few friends who live Louisiana and Florida we decided against that. I have a childhood friend who lives in Madison, FL. Madison is halfway between New Orleans and Miami. We got to my friends house around 5:30 pm on Friday. It was nice to catch up with her and her family. We left her house by 5:00 am on Saturday and we were headed towards New Orleans. I wanted to get on the road early because I knew that we still had about 6 hour drive to get to New Orleans. We had never been to New Orleans and we wanted to have some time to sightsee and enjoy the city. Anyone who has drove through Florida know what these signs are. Indian River Citrus with Live Baby Gators. I mean how could you pass the chance to see some live baby gators I am a Gator fan so we wanted to stop off in Gainesville to see the campus Welcome to Alabama The tunnel used to drive under Mobile Bay Welcome to Mississippi
wrigley80 Posted January 11, 2014 Author #369 Share Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) Welcome to Louisiana....oh thank god we are getting closer. Anyone who ever thinks about driving from Miami to New Orleans please think twice it's like the drive that never ends We made it to New Orleans and the hotel :D I was never so happy to see a comfy bed. We got to the hotel around noon and we were allowed to check-in early. That was wonderful. We stayed at the Sleep Inn and Suites in Metairie, LA. It was a very nice hotel. We also stayed at this hotel after the cruise. Once we got in the room we both got showers and cleaned up. Got some fresh clothes on and we were ready to head out into the city to see what kind of fun we could find Edited January 11, 2014 by wrigley80

wrigley80 Posted January 11, 2014 Author #372 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Well once we were dressed and headed to New Orleans. I had a map of the city and a list of places where we wanted to go. New Orleans is a city with very narrow streets and lots of one-way streets Marie Laveau's House of VooDoo.....this shop was a little scary ;) Royal Street There were street performers on every corner
wrigley80 Posted January 11, 2014 Author #373 Share Posted January 11, 2014 After we drove around for about 45 minutes we decide that we were both getting hungry and I wanted to try a place that I was told is a must see for food. Plus I was told that the later in the day it gets the longer the lines you will find So we headed out to find Port of Call restaurant. It is at 838 Esplanade Ave Their specialty is a chesseburger with a baked potato. Don't expect to find French fries here.....only baked potatoes It was soooooo good
