golfadj Posted January 4, 2014 #26 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Same here .... Also going to try a guys burger, a twilight zone, and some hot chocolate. Never had had any of these. What is a twilight zone
Butterbean1000 Posted January 4, 2014 #27 Share Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) Frozen cocktail. Not sure what's in it. It is the blue and white swirl drink. I think the white is pina colada. Edited January 4, 2014 by Butterbean1000
rolltidebama Posted January 4, 2014 #28 Share Posted January 4, 2014 It's rum, melon liqueur, coconut cream blended with ice. Plus there's blue curaçao on top. It's pretty good!

rolltidebama Posted January 4, 2014 #31 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Golfadj-I really enjoyed it. It was much better than a piña colada to me.
buellblaster Posted January 4, 2014 #32 Share Posted January 4, 2014 I have ordered the room service ones after reading on the boards how good they were. But they were really small and not good at all. Maybe I got a bad batch.
bragstarr Posted January 4, 2014 #33 Share Posted January 4, 2014 (Cue Music) Nananana Nananana you are entering the Twiligt Zone. Must add this to my list of things to try on my cruise next week!
Tutankhamen Posted January 4, 2014 #34 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Have to say, I am a bit shocked that some think the cookies in the buffet line are so good. Not sure if my taste buds are off, but they are nothing like cookies made at home from scratch. They reminded me of the generic cookies my grandmother would give me. Now, before anyone says "anything I do not have to cook is great". I agree, it is nice not having to cook, but my taste buds are not skewed because of not having to cook. Makes me wonder, is the tap water to die for too??
beachbum53 Posted January 5, 2014 #35 Share Posted January 5, 2014 From what I understand, calories don't count on vacation. :p Also, there are no calories in broken cookies (or so I've been told).
funinthesun1964 Posted January 5, 2014 #36 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I've never had the cookies either! So much food to eat on the ship, I am always to full to eat anything else! Maybe I will try sometime. Although, I have had the Twilight Zone (good, but didn't seem very strong) and Guy's Burgers (very good IMO). Another thing I'll have to try is the hot chocolate... golfadj Posted January 5, 2014 #37 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Golfadj-I really enjoyed it. It was much better than a piña colada to me. Stopped having miami vice's as decided they were too sweet, have to give this a try.

sanmarcosman Posted January 5, 2014 #39 Share Posted January 5, 2014 To each their own, I prefer soft cookies. We are all different and this is what makes life interesting. We are all different. RWolver672 Posted January 5, 2014 #45 Share Posted January 5, 2014
Just wondering why they sell them on their site if we can get them or free?
I've often wondered that about the fruit baskets too. There's all kinds of fruit available in the buffet for breakfast.

Rena921 Posted January 5, 2014 #49 Share Posted January 5, 2014 (edited)
I thought you could get cheese tray for desert at dinner?
Not sure with the new menus, I have heard they are no longer available. I plan to find out in March though. I normally almost always request a cheese plate to go from the MDR. The spreadable cheeses in the fruit basket are great for a late night snack. I am pretty much dairy free in normal life, so when I'm on a cruise, cheese & crackers are my vice. Especially on the balcony with a glass of wine. MichelleChell Posted January 5, 2014 #50 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I ordered them from room service and they came warm and yummy. They actually showed up twice. So I put them in a ziplock and we enjoyed it the whole trip.
