Question about deboarding Liberty

We are new to RCI, but on Princess ships, we are able to walk off the ship with our luggage (if no assistance is needed) and occasionally there is a service provided by certain airlines to check in early and bags will go directly to the airport and a boarding pass is delivered to your stateroom. There is a name for this service which I cannot think off right now. Is this offered on Liberty? We will be at Ft. Lauderdale on American. If that is not offered does RCI allow one to walk off on one's own power with luggage? Thank you for any help, we are looking forward to our little get-away.

Royal calls that service "Luggage Valet", and here is the info:

I believe the charge is $20 per person.

Royal also allows self-disembarkation. You will get info about this towards the end of the cruise, or you can ask Guest Services.

Thank you Clarea, that is just what I was looking for! I just didn't know what to call it, there is a different name for it on Princess. Thank you so much!

Just remember to be eligible to use the "Luggage Valet" program (when arriving into Port Everglades) on RCI your flights from FLL must be no earlier than 11:30am and from MIA no earlier than 2:30pm....And yes the charge is $20.00 pp.

I did the walk-off in November. It was a mess. There were wall to wall people waiting on deck 3 so it was even hard to get out of the elevator. Then we had to walk down to deck 2 on the stairs with the luggage. We were stuck in this mess for about 45 minutes and people were getting really upset. The staff avoid this area until the ship is given clearance, presumably because the irrate passengers are too much to handle.
