I have booked numerous land based vacations with AC Vacations. They have an obligation to get you to where you were booked in the first place and thats it. They will not get you to the next port if you miss the ship unless you pay for it.

I booked myself on Air Canada.

Toronto - Ft Lauderdale, Dec 26, 2 days before the cruise. We were 3 hours late leaving Toronto, the plane was in the hanger not coming from another city. We should have arrived by 12:30pm, if it was cruise day, we would have made it but because of the delay, we would have missed the cruise.

Miami - Toronto, Jan 4, We were 2 hours late leaving Miami.

I would not book a flight going to a cruise on the day of the cruise. Fly the day before and book a hotel, directly with a hotel or through Priceline or Hotwire.

Air Canada does offer travel insurance through RBC or you can get travel insurance from other companies - ie: President's Choice, Travelguard, RBC.
