If I had a 2 bedroom suite in the court yard with one of my kids' date=' but have two of my kids with two of their friends in an ocean view room. Would they be able to come to our room? Not to use any of the suite or courtyard perks just come to our room.[/quote']

Link the reservations. They are family and the perks will be extended to them.

Maybe, and maybe not. And for good reason.

Can you imagine a family get together with a dozen cabins, and only one is a suite? The group of 30 showing up for breakfast and lunch at Cagneys!!!

Yikes!

Hi all! I'm booked on the Pearl to AK in 2015 with a sailing party of possibly 9 and currently spread throughout 4 cabins including Haven/suite/balcony.

My PCC told me that priority embarkation/disembarkation would be no problem for all but Cagney's is up to the discretion of ship personnel. I believe that no matter how the reservations are linked, there are unknowns as far as suite perks go.

If we stay in this variety of rooms, I don't expect that anyone except for the Haven room folks can use the Haven; I don't expect that anyone except for suites/Haven can eat breakfast/lunch at Cagneys and I do expect that we can all get on and off the ship together and that we can all visit each other's rooms whenever we want.

I don't believe linking reservations in any way changes perks, especially when three rooms of different perks are involved. JMHO and also the information from my (very reliable) PCC.

Bringing guests to the Haven is allowed but it's important to be discreet and respectful of the other Haven guests who are paying top dollar to experience an exclusive environment. But there is nothing at all wrong or rude about having a couple of guests to the Haven to see your suite, enjoy your balcony with you, or even enjoy a sail away party from one of the ports of call arranged by your butler en suite.

Guests visiting someone staying in the Haven have not paid for the Haven amenities or services including the poolside snacks, private sun deck access, the services of the courtyard Butler, etc. and that's where the trouble usually starts. There have been reports, for example, of the courtyard being filled with kids and other adults when family reunion groups book one suite in the Haven, then share keys with a bigger group staying in non Haven suites.

The Haven Courtyard Butler, Concierge, and other staff strike a good balance of keeping a watchful eye on things for the most part, and will politely handle visitor situations if it gets out of hand, but I know from reading these threads (and being a Haven fare paying guest myself) that guests who paid Haven fares who feel like other guests are infringing on their enjoyment of the exclusive space they paid for will complain to the hotel director and security.

After all, the Haven is a high dollar revenue machine for NCL, like business/first class is to the airlines. It's not just for "FAA security regulations" that flight attendants direct economy guests out of business/first when they cross the curtain. If the demographic they target for the Haven feels it is un-Havenly, they won't be back, and will look to other "ship within a ship" experiences on other cruise lines. So NCL needs to ensure the integrity of the Haven product.

Enjoy your cruise in the Haven!

That's not true. The only way a non haven room can be link for Haven perks is if its a connecting room with children listed only on the non Haven room reservation. All adults must be listed on the Haven room reservation.

I know it has to be done this way is bc I'm a family of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) on the BA in an AFT Penthouse. And it's all family, not friends and the friends kids.

I think it is time for me to pop some popcorn as the debate over who gets what perks continues.

* Those that paid for them

* Those that did not

* Those that know somebody that did

* Those that know they are special

* Those that heard so and so got them when they cruised.

You can have friends to your Haven suite. But the elevator is card access only. So you will have to bring them up.

When we had friends on the Jewel in the Haven they had us in a few times, even for a lovely lunch brought in by the Butler.

Our friends gave us a quick tour but explained to us that out of respect for the other Haven guests that was a they could do aside from entertaining us in their suite.

The Haven should be used by only guests booked in the Haven or invited by NCL. I would never ask for an exception out of respect for Haven guests.

I have travelled with family and friends not in

a suite and it is doable. We either meet up after breakfast and lunch or we forego our venue and go to the MDR with them. It is simple.

They can come to your room but i would let the butler or concierge know

Last year i escorted my friends to the haven and was accosted by a crew member screaming at me that i didnt belong in the Haven and I had to leave

I told him i was staying in 14514. He never apologized or said anything

He practically ran away and i didnt see him again

He was rude and totally wrong in his screaming at me to leave
