need a cruise line suggestion

Starting to plan our vacation for Fall 2014 and I'm stumped! This will be our first cruise/vacation without our kids (who are now in college!). We've mostly cruised Carnival (Caribbean) either with the kids or large groups and that was great cause we love the upbeat fun atmosphere. Done the Western Caribbean so many times!

 

Now that it's just the two of us, are there any other cruise lines and port of calls that you might recommend for two empty-nesters who are quite ready for the recliner/tv lifestyle!

If it's just the 2 of you, I recommend stepping up to Princess or Celebrity. Also, take a look at Royal Caribbean's Radiance Class ships.

 

I highly recommend Celebrity's Solstice Class ships.

Another vote for Celebrity. We love the S and M class ships. Great for couples!

Either Princess or Celebrity would be an excellent choice. :)

You're so right about that!

 

Princess is our favorite cruise line (best fit for us) so the one we most often take ... but we have never had a bad cruise on Celebrity. :)

Princess is a favorite with us but we also like Oceania and Celebrity. I think itinerary or the individual ship would play a big part in my choice. Have you been to Alaska or Hawaii? Have you tried smaller ships like Oceania and the 2 little Princess ships or the huge Oasis and Allure from RCI?
